Pixel Resolution -

For example a 720 HD TV produces about 1 million pixels, whereas a 1080 HD TV produces around 2 million pixels, resulting in an image that has more detail and color.

100Hz -

Another common headline you will see when manufactures are marketing their products, is 100Hz. Now you will see this on large screen TVs, and this is digital technology used to double the frequency of the image refresh rate. What this does is removes all traces of flicker and makes the image look even better on screen.

HDMI Connections -

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface, and normally relates to the number of HDMI sockets the TV has to connect other high definition devices such as SKY HD, HD DVD players and Blueray players.

VESA -

VESA stands for Video Electronic Standards Association, and is involved in the size of the TV and the relevant spacing and sizing of the holes on the back of the TV in relation to the holes on the bracket.

SCART Sockets -

SCART sockets are just the number of bi-directional input and output sockets the TV has to connect other devices such as DVD players.
